At the heart of the Atlas 14 is the Alpride E2 electronic avalanche airbag system, one of the lightest electronic airbag systems available. Unlike traditional canister systems, the Alpride E2 uses a supercapacitor that can be recharged in as little as 20 minutes via USB-C or approximately 40 minutes using two AA batteries. With no compressed gas canister or lithium-ion battery, it's easier to travel with and allows convenient practice deployments, helping riders become familiar with their emergency equipment before heading into the mountains.
